The Ways You Make Money

November 16, 2009

If you have an online business, it sure pays to do extra work trying to get it out to more people to increase your sales. And what better way to do that now than blogging. Definitely, blogging is a great way to promote your products or services and to seek out sponsors. Of course, you don’t necessarily promote what you sell directly through the posts you make. What you’ll want to write about are topics that are informational and relevant to your products or services. This is a proven way to make your blog make money online just by staying home and enjoying the best of family life.

With a blog, you can add those pay per click ads which give you a commission for every click made on ads on your blog. There are also affiliate marketing sites which allow you to post ads on your page and earn each time those ads are clicked and when there’s actually a sale. In other words, your blog should be more of an information hub rather than a marketing tool. Then people will want to visit your blog not necessarily because of what you sell. They read blogs because they like what they read about.

Your main focus should be to give your readers good content because it is the one and only thing that makes blog readers want to come back and even subscribe to your posts. This will then give you the kind of traffic you want for your blog to actually start making money. Readers are, of course, what you’re after because they’re the ones who’ll be appreciating your thoughts, ideas and knowledge. Without your readers, it’s useless to make a blog, unless you intend for it to be your personal journal. In that case, you can’t really expect your blog to be earning.

Once you’ve somehow established a level of quality for your content, you’ll now want to add in the functionalities that will enable you to make money from your posts. Usually, people begin by adding Google AdSense. It’s a very simple process. You simply sign up for an account, provide pre-set specifications and Google will do the job of finding the best ads that will be useful or related to the information you present on your blog. When people visit your page and actually click on any of those ads, you earn a commission.

If one person is going to click one ad, you will be paid for that. But that won’t be much which means you have to get as many people as you can to click as many ads on your blog as possible. That’s how you actually make a good amount of money. This also means that traffic is the number one thing you should work on. And again, quality of your content is what drives people to your blog.

Google AdSense is just one of the ways to make money with your blog. You can also add banners that will promote your products and services or those you have linked up with through an affiliate program. When you make very good posts, there’s a better chance that readers would want to click on those banners. Now, that will be another way of earning an income through your blog.

You can earn money blogging and a lot of pro bloggers have been very successful in this. But when making money blogs, you need to have a lot of patience because it could take time to develop readers’ trust before the formula begins to work.

Gaining Backlinks From Blog Comments

November 16, 2009

When creating your back-link, make sure that you use anchor text to describe the website where you are directing people to. To do this, you need to include a bit of HTML code to create your back-link with anchor text:

You want to make sure that you include relevant keywords within your actual anchor text so that you can rank for specific keywords.

One thing to keep in mind as well is that you should never use keywords that are already a part of your website title or domain name but instead, focus on including keywords that you hope to rank for but are not already optimized or included on your own site.

For example, if I were leaving a comment in order to generate a back-link to the website Golf-Tips-For-Newbies.com the keywords included within my actual back-link would instead include alternative keywords that are relevant to my target audience, such as Golf Beginner Strategies “How To Improve Your Golf Swing”, which would direct people from the blog that I posted on to a specific post on my own website.

When searching for blogs to post your comments on (and build your back-link campaign), you should always focus on relevant blogs that carry the same or similar theme as your own website.

Since you will not only generate traffic from the increased exposure within the search engines, you will also attract attention from blog visitor’s who read your post, you want to make sure that you spend your time posting on blogs that are likely to draw in targeted visitors.

On-Site vs Off-Site Optimization

October 17, 2009

SEO techniques can be broken down into two general categories – onsite and offsite. Both of these will benefit your rankings, so it’s worth your time to address them both when building and promoting your website.

On-site SEO includes the specific actions you take on your webpages to increase your search engine position.

Off-site SEO techniques are the actions you take outside of your webpages to increase your search engine position. Backlinks are one of the most important strategies in the offsite SEO toolbox. For example, say you’ve put together a site on reducing hypertension and heart attacks. If Google or another major search engine notices that the American Heart Association has linked back to your site, it assumes your site must include good content. The more of these quality links back to your site you get, the more free traffic you’ll receive from the search engines because your site will rank higher.

Both on-site and off-site optimization help the search engines categorize your site and rank it higher. On-site optimization is more under your control than off-site optimization. So you need to make sure each page of your site is well optimized and then start a link building campaign.

New SEO Strategies

September 15, 2009

New SEO Strategies Google keep on changing their algorithms and therefore you should keep on changing your SEO strategies if you want to score high ranking in SERPs and also high PR.

The basic and the fundamental key to the success of SEO are to keep tracking the changes made by the Google in their algorithms. But most of the SEO experts and consultants cannot grasp their algorithm very easily. The easiest way to learn the algorithm of Google is through the experience.

So, you should collect all the ideas from the experience of different webmasters and SEO consultant and not according to a single SEO expert. Now I just want to share some of the tips and my experience about SEO according to the new and the latest algorithm of Google. Recently Google implement some new algorithms to rank the websites and blogs in SERPs and also in PR.

The points of SEO are summarized as:

1. Dynamic Update: This time Google’s new algorithm is based on dynamic algorithm and update and not a single update in a particular period of time. You would say “Google always follow dynamic update”. Yes, Google always keep on checking the websites, contents and backlinks. But this time Google is updating the toolbar PR dynamically. So, you couldn’t expect that there will no change of toolbar PR after for three or more months after the last toolbar PR update. So, you must keep updating new original contents and also should always try to build natural backlinks of your websites.

2. Banned Words: There are certain words that Google has been trying to clean completely from their search engine. They are trying to ban those websites those websites which are using these words. These words are: Sponsor, Partner Links, Exchanged Link, Paid post and any other types of level. So, you should not use those programs for which all these types of labels are mandatory.

3. Disclosure Policy: Most of the websites or blogs where there are reviews of PayPerPost are continuously penalized and cleaned by the Google from their search engine. The site wide disclosure policy and the in-post disclosure policy provide an opportunity to the Google to esily ban those blogs. So, you should remove those disclosure policies.

4. Contents: Now Google is giving more importance on contents and you will find many websites or blogs with high PR and SERPs because of the original contents but with less backlinks. Original, well constructed and well spelled contents are the most weighted tips to the success of the new algorithm. Many of the websites and blogs which were high strong PR (even more than PR 5) are PR 0 because of the more links and sponsored links in their posts or web pages.

The staffs of Google are now trying to clean their search engine and try to make it a spam free where there is no link buying and selling. Even many big webmaster forums have decreased their PR because of their sponsorship and links in their web pages. Now there are some tips that you can do in order to keep your websites in the top positions. Stop using the word “Sponsor” in your post and any part of the web pages and also the partner links can be replaced by some other words like “More Info”.

At another point, the Alexa Ranking is become more important than the Google PR. In the near future, advertisers and most of the webmasters will start giving more emphasis on Alexa ranking if the Google continues with this new algorithm. It is because the Alexa ranking is giving more accurate information about the value and usefulness of the website.
